The Richard Tucker Music Foudation

Elena was chosen as a 2022 winner of the Sarah Tucker Study Grant by the Richard Tucker Music Foundation. 

Given to young American opera singers at the beginning of a high level professional career,  this award is granted annually to select singers by a panel of many international artistic administrators.

June 2021

Elena Villalón takes multiple prizes in 2021 Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition

Elena participated in the 39th International Hans Gabor Belverdere Singing Competition in Erfurt, Germany. The only American in this year's competition, she performed "Caro nome" from Verdi's Rigoletto in the finals concert conducted by Yannis Pouspourikas, and won 2nd Prize, Audience, Carinthian Rising Star, and Will Keune Prizes.

Virtual Recital

Elena performs in the inaugural "Live from Indy Terrace" with Austin Opera, as part of their broadcast series to provide access to music in the time of social distancing during COVID-19.
